Balazs Nanoanalysis is a contract analytical laboratory owned by Air Liquide, a world-wide leader in supplying gases, specialty chemicals and services to a wide variety of industries. Balazs Nanoanalysis operates analytical labs around the world serving both internal and external clients. We support clients in a wide array of industries including semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense industry, solar, energy storage, automotive and many others. Our highly-skilled chemists assist other scientists and engineers from companies in these fields to support a wide array of activities such as quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D and failure analysis.
Air Liquide Electronics Balazs is seeking a GC-HRMS Scientist I to run our new and exciting GC-HRMS development tool (ACE 2020010791 GC-HRMS System) as part of our Analysis Lab located in Fremont CA.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Analytical/Organic Chemistry or Biochemistry and 2 years of Bench Chemistry experience in molecular analysis using GC-HRMS.
 
Responsibilities
- Develop methods involving chemical analysis using primarily a Gas Chromatography-High Resolution Mass Spectroscopic (QTOF GC-HRMS) analysis of solvents, process chemicals, ALD materials and other appropriate organic and organometallic materials.
 - Develop new analytical methods for the Production Organic lab.
 - Provide training of new analytical methods to Production Organic lab personnel.
 - Perform activities on the GC-HRMS equipment to ensure quality of data generated by Laboratory.
 - Ensure accurate evaluation, interpretation, and verification of data (samples, calibration, and quality control).
 - Submit Purchase Order Requests for supplies used in by GC-HRMS equipment.
 - Provide and ensure preventative maintenance, instrument repairs for the GC-HRMS equipment.
 - Assure the accident and incident free conduct of all aspects of their R&D activities.
 - Complete safety training and a foster a safe working environment.
 - Understand and follow safe handling procedures for hazardous chemicals.
 - Work collaboratively with other employees on analysis issues.
 - Operate laboratory instrumentation GC-HRMS.
