Description
The Marketing Manager works across the German team to help drive the marketing-related go-to-market strategy and activities for our products, with a special focus on localisation of the content and messaging to ensure maximum impact in the German market. They support the Sales Enablement function, and programme-manage all German marketing projects.
This role reports to Regional Marketing Director, EMEA. This role is based in Berlin.
Skills & Abilities:
- Native, bi-lingual, or professional German language proficiency
 - Good understanding of digital marketing and advertising ecosystem in Germany
 - BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
 - 3+ years digital marketing or communications experience in German market
 - Proactive self-starter who instinctively seeks to produce value and push limits
 - Adaptive problem-solver who excels in both critical thinking and execution
 - Able to juggle multiple priorities and navigate cross-functional relationships
 - Engaging storyteller who is capable of bringing even the mundane to life
 - A curious and analytical mind, with high attention to detail
 - Experience with event execution
 - Experience filming and editing short product feature-based videos a plus
 - Ability to influence, project management, and drive momentum
 - Ability to absorb complexity, simplifying messages for general audiences
 - Ability to translate technical language into business explanations and customer benefits
 - German and English bilingual with excellent writing skills in both
 
Responsibilities
- Know the target market, the technology and the competition, whilst being an informed voice to help drive marketing decisions
 - Become a domain expert in the area of Partnership automation, as well as affiliate marketing, to help establish Impact as a pre-eminent thought leader in the area of Partnership marketing in Germany
 - Finesse product positioning, messaging, and packaging to help the target market differentiate and understand the Impact solution in your purview
 - Plan and execute Demand Generation activities (including Direct Buy, Email, Direct Mail, eGifting) to achieve German Marketing revenue goals
 - Support and localise agency-led paid social and paid search activity in the German market
 - Own domestic event strategy, including planning and execution of virtual and in-person events
 - Own local press relations including planning writing articles and award entries.
 - Support the ongoing development and distribution of sales enablement marketing tools and tactics such as one-sheets, client emails, case studies, white papers, blog posts, bylines, webinars, and the website
 - Manage translation of German website content
 - Manage social media channel; monitor and contribute to the active digital marketing efforts and ensure proper positioning is conveyed; drive and analyse traffic through that effort.
 - Partner with sales, corporate marketing, product management, sales enablement, and operations to ensure solutions communication success
 - Source, select and customise thought leadership pieces to support marketing and demand gen activities, including whitepapers, blog posts, bylines, webinars, eBooks and other forms of marketing content; own demand gen strategy and content development
 - Ensure that the marketing initiatives are properly executed in a timely fashion; organise key sessions with stakeholders and ensure that the overall momentum of marketing initiatives is maintained
 - Collaborates with senior management and corporate marketing teams to initiate marketing initiatives and develop new ones.
