Description
- 
Conducting supplier and market research.
 - 
Analysing research to identify areas of improvement.
 - 
Providing support during projects.
 - 
Assisting in implementing infrastructure and advising of appropriate hardware and software that might be required.
 - 
Researching new technology that could improve current infrastructure.
 - 
Contributing to the standardisation of infrastructure across European sites.
 - 
Gaining a thorough understanding of McDonald’s bespoke software to effectively support and advise users.
 - 
Carrying out training of new users by embracing diverse methodology such as conference, video, face to face, webinar etc.
 - 
Management of data and setting up user access with respect to business solution platforms.
 - 
Assisting in the designing, layout, features, functionality and aesthetics of bespoke software to McDonald’s.
 - 
Liaising with stakeholders and partners of McDonald’s with respect to new and existing products.
 - 
Creation of promotional videos and static advertisements.
 - 
Creation and thereafter the maintenance of documentation associated with user manuals, installation guides etc.
 - 
Assisting in the writing or updating of point of sale (POS) and back office (BO) software.
 - 
Timely reporting of any defects in software to developers and testing of new releases or fixes.
 
Responsibilities
- 
A levels (level 3), normally in a minimum of two subjects, or a BTEC extended diploma to at least MMM or a level 3 apprenticeship in a relevant IT subject.
 - 
Plus A*-C or 9-4 GCSE qualifications (Level 2) in English and Mathematics.
 - 
The demonstration of high motivation and the ability to work effectively and efficiently with both internal and external customers.
 - 
A good understanding and effective use of Microsoft Office.
 - 
Willingness to spend sufficient time within a restaurant environment to understand the business ethos and pressures of the work environment.
 - 
Excellent interpersonal skills – you should have the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
 - 
The ability to use your own initiative and work in a proactive way whether as an individual or team player.
 - 
You should be creative and innovative and be able to contribute by further enhancing presentations and promotional materials.
 - 
Ideally, a good understanding of web design and able to implement changes using various applications and language.
 - 
The ability to work logically, methodically and systematically.
 - 
The ability to work remotely, ie an internet connection, whilst the potential for coronavirus restrictions remains.
