Description
· Allocating work schedules to driver guides; taking into account driver skills, licence type, vehicle availability and other factors to maximise passenger seat availability and revenues.
· Ensure both fleet and drivers are fully compliant with legislative operating requirements.
· Proactively working to minimise vehicle downtime and business impact, including carrying out minor on site repairs.
· Monitoring and track vehicle condition, performance and use.
· Managing maintenance and repairs.
· Managing vehicle cleaning team to ensure consistent standards.
· Minimise cost to the business by fully utilising all resources within the team.
· Deputise for the transport manager in their absence.
· Provide general operational support to the business.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working within a passenger transport role at first line management level with demonstrable experience of leading people in successful teams.
Preferred: Already hold Transport Managers CPC qualification, although consideration would be given to candidates with operational experience, demonstrating a willingness and competence to gain the qualification. Coach tour industry experience would be advantageous.
Required: Applicants should have D Licence.

· You will be a good people manager with the ability to successfully manage a team.
· The successful applicant will show commitment and motivation, and be able to use own initiative.
· They will also need to be assertive with an outgoing nature, able to cope well in pressured situations.
· Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
· Good knowledge of Scotland.
· A good understanding of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.
· Ability to be flexible in working shifts within the transport team.
