Description

  • Develop and execute overall market strategies for the Cargo and Cooler categories.
  • Create strategic plans, roadmaps and objectives for marketing, product, service, and distribution activities.
  • Ensure that business meets crucial strategic plan elements including revenue and profitability, while maintaining adherence to budgeted spending parameters.
  • Operate as Project Manager for various category and product management related activities
  • Manage product development schedules to ensure critical launch windows are delivered with the full complement of go to market support.
  • Continually evaluate the timely adjustment of key strategies to meet changing economic and business environment conditions.
  • Utilize sales planning and market research to accomplish ongoing analysis of competitive products, selling techniques, consumer research, marketing legislation, new products, pricing and distribution.
  • Recommend and execute new products, product modifications, and/or improvements based on market research, consumer feedback, market knowledge, and sales personnel information.
  • Coordinate, recommend, and provide strategic input on advertising and promotion activities for the commercial/consumer market. Significant interaction with outside customers, coordinated with sales through extensive travel and event attendance, to include trade shows, customer presentations, dealer events, etc.
  • Approve delegation of pricing authority and individual pricing questions with policy implications.
  • Monitor performance against budget objectives.
  • Follow company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role in comparable organizations with in-depth knowledge of product management in consumer goods environment.
  • Experience in the Automotive or Automotive Aftermarket sector.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching premium products with proven track record.
  • Must be proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various software programs. MS Project a plus.
  • Excellent teamwork and teambuilding skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strategic business acumen, expertise, and creativity in the development of strategic product plans. Proficiency in Retail Math is a must.
  • Experience working with key internal teams and customers to define market needs and successfully bring new products to market. Attention to detail when evaluating products and program in development.
  • Strong affinity for understanding target audiences, customer needs, competitive landscape, and sales management processes.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal, presentation skills.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  • Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager. Must be flexible regarding working hours.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
